Looks like a lot of people is signing up for their own blog. As a Star Trek Fan, I have only this to say about this phenomenon taking the world by storm.

Not when its Star Wars season.

Dscn1141 I went down to KL to watch Star Wars Episode III, on theDscn1144 23rd of May. Some of my friends thought that I was kiasu, even nuts to cross a distance of 350km to watch a movie. However, I never really bothered to explain to them why  I did it. Probably would not have understood that I made a unspoken pact with my college buddies that I would watch it with them. I also wanted to make the watching of this movie special, since it is going to be the last Star Wars movie to be released. I wanted to be in the company of people that would appreciate and love the movie.

Dscn1150Boy, was I so wrong about that…. the people in the cinema with me practically worshiped the movie. I don’t mean my friends, even though they are nerds, like me, but we look very normal, in the presence of Jedi-s, Sith Lords, Storm Troopers and other characters sitting amongst us in The Summit’s Cinema. Strangest of all was a guy wearing a self made Star Destroyer as a helmet. Salute!

Dscn1143The Star Wars Fiesta was organised by Ultimate Toys. We normal folk and gathered at the front entrance of the cinema. Those in costumes we invited for a photo session before we entered the cinema. Then we choose the best look alike. Desert ShockTrooper won the man category while Pregnant Padme won the female category. When the movie’s famous opening theme was played, light sabers were raised along with cheers and shouts of joy.

Dscn1147Overall, I agree with most of my friends that this is the best of the 3 prequels. I had to admit that George Lucas did a good job in tying up all the knots between the classic Star Wars and the new one. Star Wars "Freaks",

So since everyone is down with the Star Wars Fever, I would like to take this opportunity to say, "May the force be with you".
